The Accelerator for Enterprising Women
The Accelerator for Enterprising Women is a national initiative funded by the Australian Government’s Women’s Leadership and Development Program.
The program is designed to support and empower young women aged 18 to 24 years to create self-made Job Maker career paths, pursue entrepreneurship as a viable career choice and to ensure Australia’s next generation of businesswomen have the skills required to run their own businesses and transform the industries in which they work.
The Accelerator for Enterprising Women invites young women from around Australia to submit their entrepreneurial or business ideas into the Kickstarter Challenge for the chance to turn their passion into their profession.

Our Involvement
Over the past year, our team has attended summits and incubator workshop masterclasses facilitated by Young Change Agents in collaboration with The Accelerator for Enterprising Women. This has helped us refine our idea and motivated us to try new ways of bringing Sweet Peanuts to life.
We knew that building a not-for-profit from the ground up was going to be hard work and we certainly experienced some hurdles, but we were able to adapt and still allow us to progress with the idea of donating the packages to hospitals and clinics, just not in the way we originally thought.
We have decided to operate as a Social Enterprise, a service subsidisation model to get us up and running. This will help us to become established with viable and measurable results for a proof of concept before pursuing registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
Kickstarter Entry
Of course this was an amazing opportunity that we couldn’t pass up. We have entered the Kickstarter Challenge to have a chance of pitching our idea to key change makers in Canberra later this year as well as winning a share of $60,000 Seed capital funding to help our development and receive further business mentorship from industry specialists.
The Kickstarter Challenge is open to public voting and we encourage all our followers to vote for Sweet Peanuts.
