One frequent question we get at Sweet Peanuts is “How can I help?” or “What can I do to support Sweet Peanuts?”. For this reason we launched a sponsor option for those who want to support our mission further by paying it forward.
By sponsoring a package, you are supporting not only Sweet Peanuts but also the Peanut parents that have suffered from the loss of a baby. We know from parent and healthcare professional’s feedback that the packages are needed and a welcome tool of support for patients who present to hospital experiencing a miscarriage.
In January, we sent trial packages to the hospitals in Mount Isa and Longreach. Our goal to support regional and rural communities was starting to become realised and actionable. Already, we have had positive and supportive feedback from the healthcare professionals and social workers, with calls for more packages to be sent.
“Thank you so much for these packs. They have been a blessing in people’s time of grief. It’s a beautiful idea”
Social Worker, Mount Isa Hospital
To increase our connection with hospitals, we were put in contact with the Hospital in Logan through the Metro South network. After making contact and sending a trial package, we have been asked to send another round of packages which will be on-hand in both the social work department and through the Emergency Department.

“The feedback from staff so far is that they are very eager to provide something so thoughtful to families”
Social Worker, Logan Hospital
In addition to the trial package, another six packages were recently delivered to the hospital in Logan and another four to the hospital in Mount Isa after being contacted to advise that the two trial packages had been passed on to families.
If you would like to support our program delivery and support more families in communities, we encourage members of the public to sponsor a package.
